<p>The <strong>Scarlet Pygmy</strong> (<em>Nannophya pygmaea</em>), also commonly known as the <strong>Scarlet Dwarf</strong>, is widely considered the world&#8217;s smallest dragonfly. Native to Southeast Asia, China, Japan, and Australia, it is a tiny, vibrant insect often found in swampy grasslands, marshes, and the edges of forest ponds. </p>

<p><em>Diplacodes trivialis</em> is small dragonfly with bluish eyes and greenish-yellow or olivaceous thorax and abdomen with black marks. In very old adults, the whole thorax and abdomen become uniform pruinosed blue. <p>Camacinia is a small genus of dragonflies in the family Libellulidae. Species of Camacinia are found from South-east Asia to the Solomon Islands, Australia and New Guinea. There are three species.&nbsp;<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Camacinia">Wikipedia</a></p>

<p>Libellago lineata, river heliodor is a species of damselfly in the family Chlorocyphidae. It is found in many Asian countries. The species is found in clear streams or rivers. <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Libellago_lineata">Wikipedia</a></p>



<p>Teneral of a Chlorocyphid, could be anything of jewel species (Libellago, Rhynocypha, Heliocypha etc).<br><br>The proper term for <strong>a young adult dragonfly that has just emerged</strong> is a <strong>teneral</strong>. The Latin root word of teneral, tener, means tender or young. After moulting, an insect is in the teneral stage. An arthropod in the teneral state is described as soft-bodied, as their new exoskeleton has not hardened yet</p>

<p>In the book &#8220;Dragonflies of Singapore&#8221;, Idionyx Yolanda was mentioned that “It is listed as a critically endangered species in the Singapore Red Data Book (was published in 2008).<br><br>As per today ( Jan 2022 ), status is Least Concern, updated by Robin Ngiam <a href="https://www.facebook.com/groups/sgdragonfly/">Dragonflies of Singapore</a></p>
