It’s a Wasp, not an Ant, Females lack wings and have a stinger. Velvet, because they are fuzzy, and ant, because they look like an ant.

It’s Wasp, not an Ant, Females lack wings and have a stinger.
Velvet, because they are fuzzy, and ant, because they look like an ant.

Be careful, this has a really, really nasty sting.
