Pedipalps (commonly shortened to palps or palpi) are the second pair of appendages of chelicerates – a group of arthropods including spiders, scorpions, horseshoe crabs, and sea spiders. The pedipalps are lateral to the chelicerae (“jaws”) and anterior to the first pair of walking legs.

Thomisus spectabilis, also known as the white crab spider or Australian crab spider, is a small spider found in Australia and far east Asia. The body length of the female is up to 10 mm, the male 6.2 mm. Including legs, the spider is around 3 cm across. This spider is usually white, though sometimes may appear yellow. Wikipedia

White crab spiders are great hunters. The spider tends to harbour at location where its body colour merges well with that of the surrounding environment where it then stays dormant until a prey comes by. From field observation as shown in the pictures below, the spider appears to be very successful in catching its prey. NatureLoveYou

Although they normally move unobtrusively and fairly slowly, most species are capable of very agile jumps, notably when hunting, but sometimes in response to sudden threats or crossing long gaps. Wikipedia
