Sunda pangolins (Manis javanica) are mammals belonging to the order Pholidota. They are solitary and primarily nocturnal and are easily recognised by scales that cover their bodies, except for their belly and face. The name Sunda is a reference to the pangolin’s range throughout a biogeographical region called Sundaland that comprises the Malay Peninsula and the Indonesian Archipelago islands west of the Wallace Line. source: Sunda Pangolins Website
